Are they coming again? I'd like to get myself another hat for my Ranger.

Don't be so pessimistic. Hawaii has not had their New Year yet maybe it will go again in 2 1/2 more hours.

Okay, I'm confused. They had said that they understood people were upset that they missed out on halloween. That they had wintersday not on Christmas because of that.
Then why are the Wintersday festivites so short? There's twice as much head gear to get, and they didn't extend it at all. So if your not a kid stuck at home on new years... You actually go out and celebrate the new year with your friends... Then your not likely to get an item for each of your characters? This stinks.

um it was fairly easy to get hats for all my characters
First in dis 15 orso, got my santa hat, then moved to dis 30 orso, and got my antlers, quickly switched to my monk and also got him a pair of hats, 3 hours later, my necro got the stuff, wasent that hard

It was quick for europeans as you could turn up to 2 english events and then 1 international and have all items for all characters.

Damn this event was brief. I was on at 18 yesterday, and then there was nothing. I am on today at 12 and there is nothing.

Oh well.

I didn't get on for the finale but I was told it was just the same as every other one, since the snow is still here today though I'm assuming that Grenth won the contest?

Yeah, who the hell plays online games late in the evening on new years eve? Everyone with a life will have missed out on this event.

I liked this event up to this, but the finale was pretty farking weak.

I specifically recall devs in game stating it would be a 24 hour event, can anyone else confirm this? So far as I can tell it's only lasted 12 hours and then quit.

Are you seriously going to cry that you couldn't outfit your whole damn account with hats? They made the events to be fun, i think some people are taking it out of control. You recieved 2, be happy about it.

I opted to go out of town for New Years, then go to bed when I got home. No hats for me. After the Hallowe'en pumpkin head thing collected copious amounts of dust, I wasn't too enthused at the notion of another useless novelty item taking up space until I remembered to junk it.

Now maybe if these novelty items actually had some use, I might be interested in spending some time to get them... but a hat with no armor whatsoever, which offers no bonus or status other than saying, "Hey this hat represents 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back!" is utterly and completely pointless. It wasn't even a FUN event. Ooooh let's all stand around and twiddle our thumbs while the AI argues with each other! What fun! What joy! What a completely crappy and boredom inducing waste of some talented programmers time. With the Hallowe'en hat event we at least had some thing to DO while waiting for our precious dust magnet prize.

I'm disappointed with this one, to say the least. The Wintersday quests were great. The Snowball Fight Arena is an awesome concept. However, considering the wonderful pool of talent Anet employs, the hat "event" should be an embarrassment to them. Sleep, or stand around and watch mobs nag at each other? Hmmm.... what to do, what to do?

I was gone for a New Year's eve party all night, therefore I missed the Hats and Antlers which I really wanted. :{. Guess having a life keeps some people from getting santa hats..:{
